NIRI presents the latest flushable wipe technology at WOW

Image
Dr Matthew Tipper presented 'Approaches for Improving the Wet Strength and Dispersibility of Wetlaid-hydroentangled Wipes' at the World of Wipes (WOW) conference in Chicago last week. The work presented addresses the need for wet wipe products that are strong enough during use but which break up sufficiently when disposed of in the sewer network, preventing blockages. The conference was attended by over 400 industrial representatives, thanks to INDA for allowing us to present!

Happy 13th Birthday to NIRI!

It's been an amazing experience growing a global consultancy business from humble beginnings with 4 people in a lab at the back of an old University building to 24 people in a purpose-designed building full of nonwoven prototyping equipment. Having now completed over 450 projects for 150 different companies, through nonwoven science and product development we have helped to: • Make wounds heal faster • Reduce hospital infections • Make tea and coffee taste better • Make air and liquids cleaner • Protect soldiers from threats • Reduce environmental impact and decrease plastic use • Make hygiene products perform better • Provide safer blood transfusions • Saved people from malaria Thank you to all those industrial clients who have done business with us over the years, who’ve grown with us and enjoyed the journey! #business #nonwovens #filtration #infectioncontrol
